Use AWSD UIOP JKL; keys (with blue marks) in the menu and in games. Don't turn on the GamePad mode of the keyboard.
Press Pause/Break (topmost-rightmost key on Tauon keyboard) to get into the quick menu from the game.

Ahoy, I've been using Retroarch with the keyboard on my Tauon. But I have many controllers, wired and wireless in the style of: Trooper, a wired Atari CX40 w/added buttons like SNES Wired NES Wirelss SNES Wired playstation I've searched for how to add controllers in Retroarch and it is very confusing. On the Tauon it seems to sense the controller but then uses the default config which is the keyboard. Does anyone know how to configure controllers in Retroarch?
I've used many Retroarch and Emulationstation based gaming systems including Retropie, Lakka, Batocera OS, Recallbox OS, and Retrorangepi. They all have a way to easily configure a controller by pressing buttons. Straight Retroarch does not seem to have that option. Does anyone have a way to do it? It seems to involve a config file for each type of contoller.
Also, if you search for game ROMs on removable storage then change the location of the ROMs does Retroarch discard the ROMs it first found with a new scan? I first used a HDD then switched to an SD card for my ROMs. Now I'm worried about getting an error if I try to use my SEGA ROMs.
Sincerely, dbrain
