I see that the Tauon PC-1 is no longer available for sale. I assume that’s because all the stocks have been sold.
I’d be interested to hear about any successes that the program achieved, aside from getting an interesting “all-in-one” computer into the hands of a few of us hobbyists.
Did the Tauon PC-1 make it into any schools? Was any educational material developed to support it?
Did the introduction of the Raspberry Pi400 throw a spanner into the works?
I thought that the Tauon PC-1 had a lot of potential running Engine BASIC as a “Boot-to-BASIC” platform. No offence to the compilers of the Android image, it works very well, but the “Boot-to-BASIC” has a certain appeal in its simplicity.
Anyway, I hope that the developer(s) did OK and look forward to seeing what they come up with next.

Hello, I appreciate your interest. A couple of last hundreds of the first batch were sent to resellers and they may appear on eBay soon again. Also, some Ukrainian enthusiasts are building now a ZX-Spectrum-compatible motherboard to fit TauonPC case. No agreement was made with any governmental institutions, as they showed too-little interest in the product. The main goal was achieved, my kids have a great time with their TauonPC. I bet you don't know too many 5-year-old kids that finished Doom, Doom 2, and Hexen. The introduction of the Pi400 had not much influence on sales. EngineBasic is very good for enthusiasts. For the primary goal of the computer (educational computer for children), android builds fit better. I will continue developing TauonBasic and TauonOS at a slow pace. Unless some magic happens I highly doubt you can expect TauonPC-2 any time soon.
