Tauon OS starts with such a big border because some TVs have an "overscan" feature. This "feature" scales up the image on-screen significantly, making some parts of UI inaccessible. On some TVs, this feature could be turned off.
You can set the desired image output size in Settings:
Settings -> Display -> Screen percent

Thanks for the hint! I have a similar issue with my TV (which is not an issue of the Tauon PC): I'm using my Tauon PC connected to an old CRT TV via composite. As the left side of the display is out of screen and the right side is a black bordered, I would like change the border sizes. Are somewhere parameters accessible for adoption of the border sizes? (My TV doesn't provide any options for that as it is a really oldschool device... Best regards Konstantin N.

Hello, please try to set 4:3 format resolution in the preinstalled "Screen Resolution" application. If this won't resolve the issue you can try to change the image size on the screen by adjusting "Screen percent" in the "Display" section of the Settings app.
