I was browsing through the applications on Tauon Home, and suddenly I'm getting a "System UI has stopped x Close app" dialog. Each time I click Close app, the dialog reappears a couple of seconds later.
I spent at least 20 to 30 minutes in Tauon home last night, prior to installing fw 0.991, and didn't have any issues.
Is it possible to revert to an earlier firmware version?

I may know what is triggering the System UI stopping where it didn't before.
I inserted a 32GB Samsung SD card and, when prompted, told Android to format it and use it for "this system only". After the card was formatted, Android moved some apps to the card.
I checked Settings->Storage because I wanted to see the new space available. And a few minutes later, I opened Tauon home and started downloading apps. That is when the System UI crashed dialog started.
Unfortunately, now it is continual. It occurs after a reboot, without me doing anything at all. I shutdown, powered off, removed the card, and booted back up, and the dialog still occurs.
My next step is to re-install firmware. Although I may try an earlier version.

Hello, thanks for the feedback. This error is caused by some kind of wrong notification sent from ApkPure application. If this is possible try to launch Terminal. In Terminal, type "su". Press enter. Then type "service call notification 1". Press enter.
We got this issue after the test of new firmware was done. This issue will be fixed in an upcoming firmware release. Sorry for the troubles caused.

Thanks. That stopped the dialog. The response was: Result: Parcel(00000000 '....')
Should I avoid downloading APKs until this is resolved?

I'm looking into the issue now. Have you updated APKPure to the latest version? I just flashed 0.992 firmware. When launched APKPure asked for an update. I updated it and can't reproduce the error now. Or problem was in APKPure itself or I don't found yet an app that was causing the error. Could you please give me some app names you installed when the issue appeared?

I didn't use APKPure directly. Not yet anyway. I clicked on Turon Home and downloaded some files under "Applications". But the only application that I installed was Turon Power Manager. I prefer to browse and download several things at once, and then go back and install them. Rather than installing immediately after each download. I find that to be less restrictive. I have not launched APKPure, let alone updated it. I'll do that in an hour or two. At the moment, I'm taking a short break from watching Mr Robot with my wife.

Thank you. The error affects 0.99 and 0.991 versions of firmware. It is fixed already in 0.992.
For now, you can update to 0.9894 or wait 1-2 days for 0.992 to be released.

I'm running APKPure and letting it update 12 apps, including itself. Once that is done, I'll reboot again and let you know whether it the crash dialog continues to occur.
I can wait for 0.992, unless there is value in my testing an older version.
I'm going to have to figure out how to use the shell and scripting to configure my PC-1, including changing settings, removing apps, and installing apps. I want to be able to install different apps and stay current with the firmware, especially this soon after its initial release. But I also don't want to manually reconfigure and reinstall apps after every update.

Updating APKPure did not resolve the issue for me. And now I can't stop the dialog using service call interruption 1. The response is service: Service interruption does not exist.

I have applied a fix of this issue to 0.991 firmware and newer version 0.9911 is available for download. You may wait for 0.992 release though. In order to temporarily fix this issue on 0.99 please use "service call notification 1" command in terminal.

I'll apply a fixed fw tonight. Using "service call notification 1" stopped the dialog the first time I tried. But it doesn't now. I get a Parcel response with a hex dump of some kind. But the dialog continues.

In the previous message you mentioned that you were trying "service call interruption 1" command - this is a wrong one.

I installed fw 0.9911 last night and I've installed over a dozen apps since the upgrade. I've not had the "System UI stopped" dialog since the fw upgrade.
